Golden Boy

This is my dog Charlie, he’s a Golden Retriever with a touch of Spaniel and he is 6 years old. He appears to have arthritis effecting his hips (we will know for sure tomorrow after x-rays) so seeing him outside and completely happy is becoming rarer with each passing day. To get into the yard he has to go down several stairs, so we’ve been taking him around the side of the house. Here’s hoping for more moments enjoying the sun for my favorite golden boy.
Update:
A few weeks they believed Charlie had Lymphoma. Right before I headed off for a week at camp they removed one of his lymph nodes to do a biopsy and confirm the diagnosis.
In the middle of the week the camp director approached me and told me that Charlie did not have cancer! It was a false positive and I can say I’ve never felt so happy while crying before.
We now know that Charlie has a disease carried by ticks. It’s easily treatable and with the proper medication he should be back to normal within the year. He is already walking more easily and I’m so glad to see him moving about and enjoying things more.
Most people I know had that one movie as a kid; that one movie that they would watch over and over and over to the resigned acceptance of their parents. I’ve always thought that movie says something about a person. What was your movie?
